A MOVEMENT IN MATTER, ENERGY & CHANCE

I don’t try to paint nature. I use its forces to create a natural event on the canvas.

Paint is not placed.
It is set in motion.

01 / MANIFESTO

The canvas becomes
a small universe.

Everything in the universe is chemistry and energy, always moving, colliding, becoming. My work begins there.

I guide fluid paint with forced air, vibration, gravity, water and chemical reactions. The process is deliberate, but never completely obedient. Structure meets accident. Control meets discovery.

The finished painting is not a copy of the natural world. It is evidence of a natural event: matter transformed by energy, held for a moment on canvas.

“Painting is all about control. Each painting I create is controlled enough to carry intention, but free enough to remain alive.”

02 / The forces

Five collaborators.
No brushes required.

03 / SELECTED DIRECTIONS

One practice. Many climates.

Each body of work begins with a different temperature, material tension or imagined landscape. The method remains open; the outcome never repeats itself.

The Colour Of Spring

Renewal and energy, the vivid palette that only spring can offer.

The Edge Of Winter

Icy blues, silver palettes silently sleeping beneath frost.

The Heart Of Fall

When nature exhales in a final blaze of colour before surrendering.

If Flowers Could Speak

If flowers could speak, these are things they would want us know.

Synthesis

Acrylic paint and chemicals merging into complex, cellular structures.

Terraform

Heat, water and pressure forming an imagined natural terrain.

04 / THE PROPOSITION

Art need not imitate life.
It can behave like it.
